SWIMMING TASMANIA (STAS) MEETS

STAS Time Trials are held throughout the State during Summer and Winter Seasons.

ANY QUERIES OR PROBLEMS MUST BE DIRECTED VIA THE CLUB REGISTRAR AND NOT DIRECTLY TO STAS.

Swimmers representing their club at these competitions are reminded to act accordingly.

When swimmers are taking part in swim meets or championships they must report to the Team Leader on arrival.  Team Leaders are responsible for all members at these meets.

Team Leaders need to ensure that swimmers marshall for their events, notify any withdrawals and deal with any problems should they occur.

TEAM LEADER:  Cindy Darko

COACH:  Matt Barwick

Relay Selection Guidelines

Swimmers need to indicate their in-availability for relay teams via email to Registrar for each meet.

Swimmers must have swum a 50m time in that stroke in the time trials in that season to be eligible for relay selection.  Times need to be current.

Coaches may enter a time into Team Manager for a swimmer if due to circumstances e.g. illness, a swimmer was unable to produce a current time.

The Team Manager Software selects the relay teams.  This is then checked by the coach and registrar with consultation to the swimmers availability.

Swimmers are notified of which relay team, position and stroke prior to, or at the start of the meet.

Reserves are also indicated on the relay list to take the place of injured or sick swimmers.

The best relay team is selected for States & Regionals.

Riverside Aquatic enters as many teams as numbers and finances allow.
